Day 5: The Giant's Causeway & The Coastal Route

Image
We spent the morning exploring the Giant's Causeway, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was really nearby our hostel so we just walked over when we were ready. We paid the £7.50 entrance fee, but later on realized that the fee was just for the Visitor's Centre, and not for the Giant's Causeway, which you can technically enter for free. Oh well...

Day 4: Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge & Barbecue Night

Image
We started late today; we woke up just in time to take the free hot breakfast offered by our hostel. After breakfast we took the 11:30 bus to Carrick-a-Rede to cross the rope bride. Waiting for the bus on another cold morning The teaser

Day 3: The journey to Northern Ireland

Image
We started today really early. Cris and I took a cab at 5am to Heathrow Airport and we met Ange and Bel there. We were on our way to Northern Ireland! When we arrived at the airport we were a bit hungry so we decided to buy some sandwiches at the café. We sat down to eat them and had a conversation that went something like this… “Our gate closes in 10 minutes.” “Our gate is 20 minutes away.” “…what are we still doing sitting here??” We then started running to our gate (we had to pass another security point pa), but we made it on time. :P

Day 2: Out and about in London

Image
We started the day with brunch at The Breakfast Club , a cute little café that serves big and hearty meals. I had the chorizo hash browns and a some hot chocolate since it was quite cold that morning. Chorizo hash brown and hot chocolate in a cute mug Afterwards, Ange took us around Camden Passage a bit then we headed to the Embankment station to catch the Sherlock Holmes tour. We joined the tour of London Walks , which are great and convenient walking tours. You don’t have to book ahead; simply check the schedule of the tour you want to attend and show up at the assigned tube station. Walks cost £9 for adults and £7 for students.

Day 1: Touchdown London

After a 15 hour flight, I'm finally in London! I met up with my sisters and my friend Cris, who I'm staying with for the first few nights. After I settled in, we headed out for dinner: Shake Shack! (first time try it :)

#105daysofadventure

After five (long but fulfilling) years of university, I've finally graduated and it's time for my next adventure: a 105 day trip to the other side of the world. First up: visiting my sister in London and flying to Northern Ireland to see Giant's Causeway. Then, heading to South America (first time to visit the continent) to watch the World Cup in Brazil, check off the #1 place I've always wanted to visit, Argentina, climb Machu Picchu, and maybe stop by another country or two. Finally, dropping by the U.S. to visit relatives and friends. Follow along as I blog about my travels and adventures for the next 105 days! :)
