More of sunny Sevilla

The next day, we slept in. We left a bit before lunch to go to the Torre de Oro (Tower of Gold) before it closes. It took us pretty quick to get there and the tower was small so we were done in no time.

We decided to cross the bridge and go to the other side of the river. We walked along Calle Betis (which is a famous tapas bar street -- but at night) all the way up to Triana which is a really nice neighborhood. We crossed back and had lunch on our side.

Lately, we've been eating whenever we're hungry so we're not in tune with Spanish eating times. So when we woke up this morning we purposedly did not eat breakfast so we would be hungry at 2 which is lunch time. It kind of worked as we were able to eat "normally" after. It was really really hot so we ate indoors in a cool airconditioned place. We had another set meal today and I had some really good lentejas!

After lunch we visited the Real Alcazar (royal fortress). The Alcazar is where the King and Queen stayed when they visited Seville. I loved the Alcazar! It was really beautiful and it was here that you could vividly see a mix of Christian and Moorish influences (and also some Sevillian ones). We spent most of the afternoon there. I loved it, it was so gorgeous. A real treat for the eyes.

We didn't do much the rest of the afternoon. Just chilled around in our hotel after walking around the city a bit. Ange and I went out to the shops and we finished the night in our favorite restaurant... Cien Montaditos!
