Day 67: Pisac

On Sunday we headed to Pisac, a town in the Sacred Valley about an hour from Cusco (local bus for S/.3 (US$1)), famous for its market. Another small village, but the market is huge! We were overwhelmed, but had a good day shopping. We were able to buy lots of pretty stuff for a good bargain.

Natural paints

Bags
Blankets, tablecloths, table runners

Tablecloths
Jewelry

Also popular here are cheese breads made fresh and served straight from the oven.

You can also get fresh produce.

We spent the whole morning shopping (for pasalubong and for mother dearest), and broke for a late lunch where we tried some traditional Peruvian dishes.

Tiring shopping day, but lots of fun!
